037.121 Y: Thus indeed do We reward those who do right.

P: Lo! thus do We reward the good.

S: Even thus do We reward the doers of good.

037.122 Y: For they were two of our believing Servants.

P: Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves.

P: Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators,

S: What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators,

037.126 Y: "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?"

P: Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?

S: Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore?

037.127 Y: But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),-

P: But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom)

S: But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up.

037.128 Y: Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them).

P: Save single-minded slaves of Allah.

S: But not the servants of Allah, the purified ones.

037.129 Y: And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times:

P: And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation):

S: And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations.

037.130 Y: "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!"

P: Peace be unto Elias!

S: Peace be on Ilyas.

037.131 Y: Thus indeed do We reward those who do right.

P: Lo! thus do We reward the good.

S: Even thus do We reward the doers of good.

037.132 Y: For he was one of our believing Servants.

P: Lo! he is one of our believing slaves.

S: Surely he was one of Our believing servants.

037.133 Y: So also was Lut among those sent (by Us).

P: And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn).

037.134 Y: Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all

S: When We delivered him and his followers, all--

037.135 Y: Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind:

P: Save an old woman among those who stayed behind;

S: Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried.

037.136 Y: Then We destroyed the rest.

P: Then We destroyed the others.

S: Then We destroyed the others.

037.137 Y: Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day-

P: And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning

S: And most surely you pass by them in the morning,

037.138 Y: And by night: will ye not understand?

P: And at night-time; have ye then no sense?

S: And at night; do you not then understand?

037.139 Y: So also was Jonah among those sent (by Us).

P: And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn)

S: And Yunus was most surely of the messengers.

037.140 Y: When he ran away (like a slave from captivity) to the ship (fully) laden,
